Join us in welcoming Hudson Mayor Tiffany Martin Hamilton to our summer reading program on Friday, July 15 at 10:30am. The mayor will speak with the children about various aspects of her job, the importance of civic engagement, and reading enjoyment. The children will be able to ask questions and discuss concerns with her.
The Meet the Mayor event is open to all children interested in this unique opportunity. Light refreshments will be served.
This is a very special event in our summer reading guest speaker series. Marlene Parmentier, teacher at Montgomery C. Smith Intermediate School, and Janice Scali, the Hudson Area Library children’s librarian, have planned a mix of reading, activities, field trips, and guest speakers for the summer. The summer reading program runs Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 12pm. Children of all ages and their families are invited. The program is free and open to the public.
